Patrick Griffin

Patrick was introduced to outdoor climbing with Outward Bound in 2001. While attending VCU from 2002-2006 with the Outdoor Adventure Program he enjoyed climbing and leading trips Manchester Wall and weekly sessions at Peak Experiences. As a former school teacher and outdoor educator, Patrick believes outdoor adventure can play an important role in improving the quality of peoples lives through challenges and physical well being. He enjoys how climbing challenges him to slow down and make careful decisions throughout an outing.

Josh Elder
Climbing Guide

Certified by the American Mountain Guides Association as a single pitch instructor, Josh has been a climbing guide for new climbers to experienced climbers, and everything in between.  Born in Lynchburg VA, Josh discovered a love for climbing while right here in Richmond. Beginning at the Manchester wall, he has since climbed everywhere from crumbly mountains in North Carolina, to splitter cracks 800 feet of the ground in the Nevada desert. When not climbing, you can find him on the river or trails around Richmond. His favorite fast food is Taco Bell, and is happiest anytime the weather allows you to wear a jacket and shorts at the same time.
